Topic of Presentation: “Establishing the e-learning function in a public university: from content to results”
In his session Prof. Keraro delves into what it takes to establish an e-learning function at a public university in Kenya. Having done it himself and still immersed in ensuring success of e-learning at Egerton university, he brings to the fore what it feels like to be on the driving seat of following a path least trodden by many an academic in a public university. It is a session that seeks to show that e-learning is not just about content but a whole array of things including; planning, learner support, tutor support, ICT enablers, financial management, conflict resolution, examination management etc. More broadly it touches on all university processes that ensure the ultimate purpose of an e-learning function at a public university is achieved.
